Muut is now a blog tool, but it can power the comments on your blog! You'd still need something to drive the blog like wordpress, ghost, or something else.
Thanks!
We have our own website www.yardesign.com where we want to add a blog and a forum. do we still need wordpress for the blog then? sorry, I am not familiar with this. just doing research which system to use for blog and forum. I liked your manifestop a lot!
Courtney, what do you mean that Muut is now a blog tool?
Wanted to ask the exact same question. I guess that implies a setting to only allow the admin to start new threads, which makes it somewhat more personal / subjective.
Wondering if the official muut blog is actually using the same system...
Okay Courtney had a typo there — Muut is *not* a blog tool :)
> @yardesign > do we still need wordpress for the blog then? Whatever blogging platform you want to use, then embed Moot for commenting. We have a [Wordpress plugin](http://wordpress.org/plugins/moot/) that's going to get an overhaul in the near future; there are also tutorials for embedding Muut into [Ghost](http://suksit.com/integrating-moot-into-ghost/) or [Blogger](https://moot.it/forum/#!/setting-up#google-blogger-embedding).
hahaha, OK, now that makes sense. I wondered what was up. :) I've got it installed in WP.
Oops haha sorry about that. yes *not* :)
Btw I also wanted to take a second to mention that if we supported editing and I fixed that typo it would have made it so that anyone reading the replies was confused. Leaving the typo allows people to follow the flow of the conversation. Permanence FTW! :)
Even if Muut is not designed for blogs, some people are using Muut as a blogging platform. Here is a [food blog](http://www.anni.asia/) from Finland.
